4.14 Corrective Action
When a process goes out of control, operators and technicians
need guidance to assure an accurate and rapid response to the
problem. Management needs records detailing the correctness of
responses to serve as a guide for supervision and training.
QMS/9000+ provides both in the "short loop" Corrective
Action System. [See 4.9 Process Control]
Unsatisfactory audits, recurrent nonconformances from a common
cause, chronic out-of-control situations, and other similar
problems need more reflective corrective actions. The QMS/9000+
"long loop" Corrective Action System handles such
events.
