4.13 Control of Nonconforming Product
In order to manage nonconformances, a system for recording,
tracking and reporting on their disposition status is required.
The QMS/9000+ MRB (Material Review Board) system
follows incoming and in-process nonconforming materials from
initial detection through preliminary review to final
disposition. Corrective actions can be automatically initiated by
over limit recurrences and/or excessive nonconformance costs.
- User-defined prompts and data fields
- Menu-driven operation
- Nonconformance input transactions initiated by both
receiving and in-process conformance testing
- Recurrence alarming/corrective action trigger
- Tracking of nonconforming material from initial detection
through to final MRB disposition
- Nonconformance history retains dispositions on-line
- Due list/aging reports for PRB and MRB submissions
awaiting disposition for seven, fourteen, thirty, etc.,
days
- Cost information imports from accounting system
- Standard reports on cost of repair, rework and scrap
month to month and by quarter
- Listing of defect recurrence factors
- Graphical Pareto ranking on defect recurrence,
rework/repair/scrap activity, costs, etc.
- Graphical time charts show trends in rework, repair,
scrap costs, total nonconformances and MRB submissions
- Automatic corrective action trigger on excessive costs
- Report generator for custom tailored tabular reports
including: range selection, mathematical operations,
tally, and sorting on data fields
