4.1 Management Responsibility
Managers must assign responsibility to qualified personnel,
periodically review the quality system performance and document
these reviews. QMS helps managers and executives carry out their
responsibility by providing:
- Security control - allows management to assign qualified
personnel to specific tasks within the quality system
(e.g. prevent nonconformities, identify/record quality
problems, recommend solutions, verify implementation of
solutions, control further processing of nonconforming
material)
- Projected and actual resource requirements needed to
carry out quality tasks such as auditing
- Summaries for the review period and historical trends of:
- Defects/irregularities encountered
- Internal audit results with an exception list of
unacceptable results
- Customer complaints and corrective actions
proposed to correct problems
- Nonconformance results
- Defect percentages and process capabilities for
suppliers and plant
- Results scheduling and recording of each management
review
Management Plant Control
Comparison reports including: shift, daily, weekly, monthly,
quarterly, yearly, by operator, line, machine, department, plant,
division, enterprise.
